Silverado Hospice LA is looking for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)! They will be covering the South Bay and the Valley.

Position Pay: $35.00 -$38.00/hr.

Shift Schedule(s): 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM or 3:30 PM-12 AM, either Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday

The non-negotiables:

  • Must have a valid Licensed Vocational/Practical Nursing license within this state
  • Must have at least one year of experience as a LVN/LPN
  • Hospice experience preferred, but not required
  • Must have evidence of CPR training
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and willingness to drive to patient’s location.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must clear a criminal background check, physical and drug screening.

What you will be doing:

  • Demonstrated competency in performance of skilled nursing functions.
  • Ability to work with dying patients and their families.
  • Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Hospice field nurse provides skilled nursing and palliative care for assigned Hospice patients. He/she works cooperatively with the other members of the Interdisciplinary Hospice Team.
  • The Hospice nurse provides intermittent visits or shifts of skilled nursing care, performs prescribed medical treatments, including pain management and symptom control, provides nursing observations, provides teaching regarding the expected course of the disease, care techniques and other health measures to the patient, family or other primary caregiver, and participates in the care plan development and implementation.
  • Performs all related duties as assigned.
