Job Title: Hospitality Team Member

Department: Hospitality/Housekeeping

Reports to: Team Leader/GM

Location: Saltery Cove, Prince of Wales Island, AK Seasonal: Yes, we are an EOE employer

Salary Range: $DOE Month + Share in the Shore side tip pool

Shared room and meals included. Must be 21 YOA

Job Purpose: Will provide a high quality of service in Housekeeping and Hospitality for our guests. Interact with guests daily to ensure that they have a memorable Alaskan fishing experience. Work within established guidelines and policies regarding safety, sanitation and accident prevention principles.

Duties: Will meet and greet guests on turnover day to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the lodge. This attitude is to be maintained throughout the duration of their stay.

Maintain the cleanliness and resupply of guest rooms, hallways, bathrooms, lounge and dining areas. Laundry duties associated with room service.

Acts as a server in the dining room during meals. Provide beer and wine service to guests as needed. Will maintain accurate records and process proper billing to guests for spirited consumption. Bus tables, wash dishes during meal periods & dressing of tables for the next meal. It is essential that the tables be dressed in the manner directed by the Lead or Chef for each period of service. Host guests after dinner in the lounge area on a rotating basis, or during after fishing snacks on the dock.

Communicates effectively and professionally with all other departments. Will keep the department lead informed about any changes/requests needed by guests.

Will assist with the arrival and unloading of the supply boat weekly.

Skills/Qualifications: Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or housekeeping experience is a plus. Demonstrated quality written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills a must. Our preference is for non-smoking as we are in a remote location in the Tongass National Forest. Emergency services and aid are a minimum of 20 minutes away. For these reasons we have a stringent hiring process, which includes Drug testing, corporate orientation, AED, First Aid and CPR training. All our positions require the above duties, skills & qualifications, but are not limited to those items listed.
