PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the guest on a daily basis.
  • Be familiar with the AM, PM and overnight daily checklists to ensure smooth daily operations, and cross-train in other department areas as needed.
  • Must be flexible in working hours, position will include weekends/evenings/holidays.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Ensures that regular on-going communication is happening with employees to create awareness of business objectives and communicate expectations, recognizes performance, and produces desired results.
  • Ensures all team members meet or exceed all hospitality requirements.
  • Interviews and assists in making hiring decisions.
  • Assists employees in understanding guests’ ever-changing needs and expectations, and exceeding them.
  • Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
  • Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
  • Understands the impact of department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed goals.
  • Publishes all guest satisfaction results in a timely fashion including all guest satisfaction forms, comment cards and guest letters.
  • Leads by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ensures orientations for new team members are thorough and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Runs Front Desk shifts.
  • Control costs effectively to meet budget guidelines. Implement control system for labor and other controllable costs.
