The Ocean Front @ Seaside is seeking a friendly, customer-service oriented HOUSEKEEPING INSPECTOR. This position is responsible for reviewing the work of our housekeeping team to assure clean, safe and attractive rooms and public spaces for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organizing shifts, assigning daily tasks and monitoring completion timeframe.
• Providing guidance and direction to housekeeping team — including training, coaching, mentoring, motivating and evaluating.
• Conducting detailed quality checks and inspections of all rooms and guest areas, assuring that guest expectations and company standards are met.
• Assisting as needed with cleaning and other housekeeping activities — including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, washing and folding laundry, restocking supplies, etc.
• Maintaining inventory of tools, equipment and supplies for housekeeping team.
• Ensuring appropriate maintenance of housekeeping tools and equipment.
• Making recommendations to improve service and/or ensure more efficient operations.
• Responding to urgent requests from guests promptly and professionally.
• Consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Following all safety, health and sanitation policies.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Have three or more years of housekeeping experience, ideally in a hotel/hospitality setting.
• Have one year of experience leading and motivating a team.
• Be punctual, attentive to detail, friendly, willing to learn, reliable and honest.
• Have the physical condition and strength necessary to perform cleaning activities that may include lifting, standing, scrubbing, vacuuming and more.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Be able to work in a team setting.
• Work well unsupervised.
• Anticipate challenges and help find solutions.

Job Information:

• Hourly wage: $17-$22, depending on experience.
• Part-time shifts vary, but average 20-30 hours per week.
• Full-time position may be available.

Owned by the same family for five generations, The Ocean Front @ Seaside is a boutique property with 35 rooms that evoke the spirit and charm of yesteryear while providing today’s essential amenities and services. The property has recently completed an extensive remodel.
