ROOM ATTENDANT (HOUSEKEEPER)

Department: Housekeeping (Rooms Division)

Supervisor: Floor Supervisor/Executive Housekeeper

DUTIES: Clean 16-18 rooms within scheduled shift to meet the management company standards; stock and push carts weighing up to 100 lbs., communicate with guests and supervisors; assist with laundry when necessary and communicate room status to supervisor or front desk. I. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: 1. Appearance: Well-groomed, clean nails and hands, conservative jewelry and hairstyle, neatly trimmed beard or mustache, if applicable. 2. Behavior: Interested in job, willing to learn, responsible and dependable, team and service oriented, upbeat, friendly. 3. Basic Skills: Able to stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time, ability to follow instructions, dependable. 4. Communication Skills: Able to communicate with supervisor and peers, legible handwriting. Able to answer questions and to respond to guests’ needs. 5. Other: Adaptable to change. II. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 1. Previous Experience: Previous hotel/motel housekeeping or similar experience is preferred. 2. Special Skills: General cleaning and housekeeping skills, attention to detail, safety conscious. 3. Product Knowledge: Understanding of cleanliness, cleaning chemicals, sanitation. 4. Other: Ability to work with little supervision.

Job Type: Full-time
