Position Summary
Parker Hannifin is looking for a full-time HR Generalist to support the Tube Fittings Division. This position will be based at our Eaton, OH location. With direct supervision, this position will provide support and services in functional areas of human resources including safety & workers compensation, recruitment, AAP/EEO, Peoplesoft & Kronos data accuracy, benefits administration, compensation & time and attendance, training and development and other employment matters. Partners with team members and the plant leadership team to drive engagement through HPT (High Performance Teams).
Responsibilities
- Posts positions to internal and external job search outlets; Accepts and conducts initial review of resumes; Assists in interview and selection process.
- Partner with the HR Manager to facilitate onboarding and orientation of new or transferred team members.
- Maintain Peoplesoft and Kronos data entry and support questions relating to Time and Attendance systems ensuring accurate and timely processing of team member transactions.
- Maintain good rapport and working relationships with team members and supervisors in an effort to prevent, resolve and/or cope with team member issues affecting the workplace. Spend time on the production floor talking to team members and identifying team member needs.
- Address well-defined questions by managers and team members.
- Assists other HR team members in preparing for merit review process.
- Administer the compensation programs for hourly team members including, but not limited to, job analysis, salary surveys, compensation reviews and performance review systems.
- Assists in the administration of benefit programs including eligibility, enrollment and effective communication.
- Assists other HR team members in preparation for performance management and talent management cycle.
- Coordinate and assist with a variety of company social functions.
- Assists in the coordination of local training.
- Support and lead change as required, creating understanding amongst team members and assisting in the modification of systems and structures.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Help support EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) efforts.
- Recommend and interpret company policies. Ensure company practices comply with federal and state employment laws and regulatory agency requirements.
Qualifications
- University degree
- 0-2+ years of working experience in Human Resources or equivalent certification for experience.
Closing Statement
- Proficient in MS Office applications, Peoplesoft and Kronos experience a plus.
- Ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
- Position requires ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form in order to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers team members, and the general public.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute deliverables in a timely manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, and keep secure confidential data and records.
- 0-10% travel to company meetings, recruitment fairs and other required trainings.
