Position: HR Lead - Part time


Department: Talent

Summary

75F is seeking an experienced HR leader looking for a part-time role (~20 hours/week) to join our Talent team and manage all human resources procedures. The successful candidate will be passionate about recruiting, supporting, and evolving employees through our company's guidelines and managing processes.

The main responsibilities for this position include full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, enforcing policies & procedures, and performance management. You will work closly with our Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations, teams to develop strong knowledge and understadning of how our business works in order to partner with our leaders in building the teams and culture we need to achieve our ambitous goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Recruiting (~60% of time)

  • Recruit, interview, & facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Collaborates with hiring manager to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts market research for open positions to ensure we are within compensation ranges
  • Assist with the creation of Position Requisitions & Job Descriptions for all new roles before they go live on the ATS.
  • Utilize BreezyHR, LinkedIn Recruiter, & Built-In platforms, along with others that you have found to be beneficial.
  • Book travel for candidates for their final interview (if they are not local)

New Hires

  • Send out offer letters & conduct background screenings on all new hires
  • Main point of contact for all new hires
  • Setup new hire in all systems, including their laptop
  • Conduct onboarding for all new hires on their first day

Benefits & Compensation

  • Primary benefits contact for all employees.
  • Work with benefits broker to get open enrollment setup & completed.
  • Manages all leave of absences, including FMLA, Personal Leave, Parental Leave, etc.
  • Conduct compensation reviews annually.
  • Assist managers with raises based on performance reviews/ merit/ promotions

Performance Management & Employee Engagement

  • Create and implement our quarterly performance reviews, along with our annua performance review.
  • Follow-up with managers and employees to ensure they are getting reviews completed in a timely manner.
  • Send our engagement survey to employees quarterly to complete.
  • Review results of engagement survey & create an action plan (if needed).
  • During quarterly All Hands meetings, review results with employees and go over the intended action plan.

Compliance

  • Review, track, and document compliance with all mandatory and non-mandatory training
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assist with communication, interpretation, and upkeep of current policies & procedures

Administration/ Other Duties

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Completes all activities associated with the exit/ termination of an employee.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 8+ years in Human Resources, 4+ years in HR leadership. Experience scaling a high-growth start up or similar experience required
  • Familiarity with our tools preferred. Primary tools used are: Rippling, Lattice, LinkedIn Recruiter, BreezyHR, ClickUp, Office 365 Suite
  • Well-honed emotional intelligence, interpersonal and relationship-building skills that facilitate strong advisory relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Ability to blend the strategic and aspirational requirements of the role with the hands-on practicality to know that a world-class HR function is best built iteratively
  • Experience driving change, including working with the CEO to develop effective internal communication strategies
  • You know how to be successful in multiple roles; recruiter, culture ambassador, benefits administrator, and employee coach. As an “HR department of one” you are comfortable rolling up your sleeves as we scale.
  • You are proactive and have the ability to anticipate employees needs with clear communication and policies
  • You have the drive to help people solve problems and make everyone feel welcome
  • You want to make sure you create a safe and accepting working environment for all employees
  • You are a SME in all areas of HR compliance as well as federal, state, and local employment law. We have employees in MN, NY, GA, TX, and MO with plans to expand into other states

**Hybrid Office Environment- Must be located with the Minneapolis area & able to commute to our office in Bloomington, MN multiple times a week**
