Position Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Clerk to join our Human Resources team. The selected candidate will work at our headquarters office in Huntsville. The person in this role will be responsible for supporting administrative Human Resources functions across different geographies to meet our ever-evolving needs.
This is a temporary position with the initial anticipated duration of approximately 4-5 months. This position will offer a flexible work schedule, anticipated to be between 20-40 hours per week and may fluctuate on a weekly basis as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Assists with new-hire and onboarding processes, including requesting reference and background checks, collecting and processing of new-hire paperwork
- Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance. Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
- Responsible for completion of E-Verify and state new hire reporting
- Monitors new hire and onboarding process to completion to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner, coordinates with appropriate personnel (i.e., managers, business operations, IT, etc.) as needed
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Business or related discipline, or equivalent years of business-related coursework
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and compliance
- Detail-oriented, precise, and organized
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with customer-focused mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook); with ability to learn new software quickly
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation, to include obtaining and/or maintaining the required security access/authorization
- If required by the government, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except in limited circumstances where legally entitled to an accommodation
Desired Qualifications:
- 1+ years of administrative work experience
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred
