Zeda formally known as Vertex Manufacturing, is building a world-class medical manufacturing facility in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is currently searching for the right candidate to lead our operations group and build a best-in-class manufacturing capability. Deep domain expertise of medical implant, instrument, and device manufacturing is a must. Zeda is vertically integrating metal additive manufacturing, CNC machining, thermal processing, part marking, abrasive blasting, inspection, cleaning, passivation, and packaging of titanium and polymer implants, stainless steel instruments, and a variety of other medical products.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Additional duties may be assigned, but core expectations can be listed as the following:

Maintain Facility Systems and ensure up-time:

• Compressed Air
• Electrical
• HVAC
• Argon and other specialty gases.

Be a Point of Contact for landlord communications and interactions.

Coordinate & Organize Outside Vendor Maintenance Activities: Establish and maintain relationships and contracts with OV sources for certain maintenance tasks.

Plan and organize shut-downs where appropriate: Coordinate with operations managers and senior leadership to schedule routine or required machine or system maintenance.

Run utilities to new equipment: Connect new machines to electric, compressed air, specialty gas lines, network, and data loops, etc.

Trouble shoot outages and work repairs: Triage break-downs and outages

• Establish priorities
• Work solutions with appropriate urgency

Assist in data collection / Industry 4.0 implementation.

Evaluate and recommend new equipment.

Monitor facility systems regularly and report out key metrics.

Evaluate new hires and be a team lead.
