Information Security Compliance Analyst position at the University at Buffalo will report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The Information Security Analyst will work with the Security Team to improve the University’s readiness and response to information security threats and events, and to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and research related requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in information security compliance OR master’s degree with 1 year of experience information security compliance. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field.
- Security certifications, such as: CISSP, GIAC, Security+, etc.
- Understanding of or experience with NIST security frameworks (e.g. 800-171, 800-53,
800-30, 800-39) and FIPS security frameworks (199 and 200). - Familiarity with FERPA, HIPAA, CMMC compliance requirements.
