iMedia Brands, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Systems Engineer, Microsoft to identify innovative, operational solutions for fast-paced, retail products while simplifying our day-to-day processes and supporting internal as well as external needs in our Eden Prairie, MN (Corporate Headquarters).

As the Systems Engineer, Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in implement and maintain the company’s broad suite of Microsoft technologies, virtualization, storage, cloud services and security infrastructure to meet the demands of a fast-paced, interactive media company. This team member will partner with a group of engineers who have shared goals to deliver secure, reliable, resilient, and scalable infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of infrastructure experience OR a combination of equivalent experience and Degree or Bootcamp Certification
  • Proficiency in computer hardware, virtualization, storage, security, authentication, and Microsoft technologies
  • Proficient with operating systems and network security protocols
  • Experience using Microsoft Active Directory and managing capabilities ranging from group policy, forest management, trust management, and certificate authority
  • Prior experience of systems sizing, performance, capacity planning, reorgs, partitioning, tuning, and patching
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services, virtualization, Microsoft EA management, network attached storage, and security badging systems
  • Practical experience with datacenter networking knowledge, network load balancer, firewall knowledge, and storage fabric (zoning, masking, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in information security, audit requirements (e.g., PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley), security software and platforms, and implementation patterns

Must be flexible to work an on-call, 24/7 rotation split between the team

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Strong knowledge of technology infrastructure, virtualization, security, and compliance methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure, virtualization, automation, security, and scripting
  • Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery
  • High level of curiosity in understanding the underlying business and the problem we want to solve using technology
