The Processing Tech I is responsible for processing fluid products through HTST processors as well as accurately batching mix and milk products. All tasks are to be performed safely and efficiently per established standards, processes, procedures, formulas, and regulatory requirements.

The Ingredient Processing Handler makes an impact by –

High Temperature Short Time (HTST)

• Ensure proper product rotation of raw dairy products and verify with lab personnel whether or not incoming ingredients meet quality standards.
• Ensure refrigeration and agitation is activated for product mix in process.
• Perform periodic tear down inspections of equipment and replace worn parts, if necessary.
• Perform sanitation duties in batching/blending areas.

Batch Preparer

• Procures dry ingredients from dry storage personnel, stage ingredients at blending station, and ensure ingredients are returned to the proper area.
• Connect the proper fluid ingredient tanks and withdraw correct batch amounts
• Add dry ingredients per proper procedure to ensure the formulation meets quality specifications and parameters.
• Test washes and sanitizing solutions to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.

Raw Receiving

• Ensure that ingredients received are stored in proper tanks and silos in accordance with storage regulations (e.g. time, temperature, agitation).
• Inspect and test each incoming fluid shipment for compliance with corporate regulatory standards.
• Ensure that tanker drivers operate in accordance with corporate and regulatory guidelines while they are in the plant and if necessary, report any non-compliance to the Supervisor and/or manager.
• Prepare food grade waste and load-outs for shipment.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 + year of manufacturing experience
• Food or beverage processing experience
• Two (2) or more years processing manufacturing experience
