POSITION SUMMARY

The Final/Receiving Inspector will inspect products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Final/Receiving Inspector will perform the following:

• Read blueprints and specifications
• Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
• Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, tape measure, or Pi Tape
• Accept or reject finished product or Raw Material items
• Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
• Discuss inspection results with Dept. Supervisors, Area Leaders and Dept. Engineer
• Report inspection and test data as needed. Enter into NC Log datebase
• Follow all Work instructions for performing Final Inspections criteria and Non-conforming product
• Print material certifications for customer orders as required
• Prepare all necessary shipment paperwork as required
• Performs additional training duties as requested
• Package orders for customer shipments as required
• Use Forklift/Tow Motor to move shipments and raw material as needed
• Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential takas as assigned.
• Qualified for PMI inspection. Print PMI reports
• Receiving inspection of components from suppliers using various measuring instruments and prints, specifications and quality documents

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions
• Inspect all products to Work Instructions
• Utilizes RFA to offer ideas and solutions with involvements from Plant Management Team
• Competent in basic computer skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to bend squat, stoop, twist, and kneel.
• Ability to use hand tools
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Must pass Vision Acuity Test
