Intellectual Property Data Analyst
Job Purpose:

As Intellectual Property Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, proactive and insightful data support to the Intellectual Property Department, maximizing the investment made in the Intellectual Property databases and ensuring that the data information needs of the entire Intellectual Property department are met.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Provide data, analysis and reporting to Patents, Legal Brand Protection (trademark and domain names), Intellectual Property Leadership Team, Legal and Compliance and customer groups internally and externally
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of data within the Intellectual Property databases. Identify and design process improvements for the data extraction, analysis, and presentation of data in support of the Intellectual Property team and GSK stakeholder requests
- Execute bespoke data requests ensuring optimal approach for how projects should be completed, ensuring the data addresses the specific request and is optimally presented, whilst ensuring accuracy of work and attention to detail
- Act as a point of contact for Patents and Legal Brand Protection for data queries and work with the IP data team to ensure the accuracy of inputs/data within the Intellectual Property systems, therefore enabling quality data outputs
- Work with others in Intellectual Property /Legal and Compliance to identify opportunities to exploit Intellectual Property data systems in support of work within Patents and Legal Brand Protection.
- Input into external benchmarking activities, ensuring data inputs accurately address any data gaps

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- A level or bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science, or Intellectual Property Paralegal qualification
- Experience working with high volume complex data and translating that into meaningful analysis
- Tech or legal experience working with Intellectual Property Management software (e.g., Anaqua or TIPMS) and knowledge of trademark and patents data
- Experience in designing and implementing IT/Tech solutions, data management, querying, and analysis
- Experience in Excel, including advanced data analysis, manipulation (e.g., Pivot tables) and formatting
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Understanding of Intellectual Property workflows
- Ability to operate as an integral member of Intellectual Property Services and Operations team
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to complete projects while providing clear and continuous updates to stakeholders
- Autonomous, proactive, and intuitive candidate, who can work efficiently within a matrix team
