About the Role:

• Work schedule: 4- or 5-day schedule with no weekends, minimal call rotation
• Seeing 20 patients per day in an outpatient setting
• Work with the primary healthcare team to provide patients with primary medical care services within the standard of care for patients.
• Obtains appropriate patient history, performs physical evaluation, orders appropriate diagnostic tests and follows-up with interpretation, formulates assessment and initiates treatment plan with appropriate follow-up visits.
• Manages chronic conditions, evaluates and treats inter-current medical conditions.
• Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
• Function as day-to-day clinical leader, providing decision support to nurse practitioners and directing the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Background Desired:

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal medicine or Family Practice.
• MD or DO licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Pennsylvania
• 3 years of experience in a Primary Care Physician role outside of their residency preferred.
