We specialize in multiple areas of the value chain:
- Field employees work to calibrate equipment, program and automate systems, and perform instrumentation and equipment work on client sites.
- Lab employees take samples that have been collected in the field and run a multitude of tests for environmental factors and quality of the product. We also have a blending lab that works to create the chemicals that other companies use to calibrate their analytical equipment.
- The Production Analytics team audits existing field structures and design, balances our client’s entire systems, and allocates royalties to maximize profits.
SPL is expanding our footprint internationally in the production, midstream, finished products, and environmental markets. We are also focused on developing industry-leading automation and data analytics tools that will help our customers ensure the integrity of their data.
Job Summary:
The IT Analyst must be team oriented, proactive and goal driven. This position is responsible for providing front line support, configuration, and training related to applications and IT systems used by the company. Will use independence and judgment to recognize and resolve problems within established policies and procedures and is accountable for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of own work.
Responsibilities:
User Support, Training, and Documentation
- Training Lab Personnel in use of SureChem and Related Lab Applications
- Developing/Maintaining Documentation
- User Support: Managing Support Queue and Providing Direct User/Lab Support
SureChem Setup and Configuration Management
- SureChem Test Configuration
- Instrument Interface Configuration
- Digital Log Setup and Configuration
- Master Data Management
Data Management, Reporting, and Analysis
- Writing SQL Queries and Stored Procedures
- Scoping and assisting in development of SureChem Reports
- Support business analysis and lab activity reporting
Application Development Support
- Software Testing
- Production Support Development
- Experience troubleshooting applications, computer systems, and peripherals;
- Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools;
- Skilled in database programming and software installation;
- Demonstrated ability to be the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex applications;
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills;
- Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels;
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative;
- Outstanding attention to detail with superior time and project management skills;
- Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure;
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with others;
- Experience with monitoring tools is a plus;
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server, Apache Tomcat, and Microsoft IIS a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires 50% travel.
Work Schedule:
This position will work 8 hours, Monday – Friday in the Arlington, Plano, Carthage and Kilgore TX offices. This position is subject to overtime availability.
