Would you like to join the best dog training team in Tampa? Sit Means Sit Tampa is currently hiring a passionate and motivated Kennel Technician to work at our training facility. Work with a positive, energetic team and help dogs learn at the same time. Kennel techs are responsible for keeping the dogs happy and healthy during their stay. You will also be responsible for helping keep our facility clean and organized. You set the environment for our trainers and our dogs to train and perform at their highest efficiency and quality.

Shift Times (Shift times are subject to change)
6am-2pm
or
2pm-10pm

This position requires:

• Ability to patiently and lovingly work with dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and breeds. This could also include dogs that are reactive or aggressive towards people or other dogs
• Positive attitude and a team player
• Ability to communicate with people while maintaining a high standard of excellence in client care and professionalism
• Be comfortable getting dirty!
• Experience with operating devices such as PCs, tablets, and smartphones along with their applications.
• Must be able to perform snout-to-tail wellness checks on dogs (including eyes and ears)
• Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and training center
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds or more
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Experience in an animal care facility is preferred.
