Job description

The Key Account Specialist– BDM’s main priority is selling and executing Matador’s Red Bull strategy and initiatives with a set group of Key Accounts. KAS’s must develop solutions that resonate with customer needs while achieving Matador goals; as well as help drive best practices by producing excellent results and creating innovative solutions.[TS1]


Responsibilities:

  • Management and development of regional key accounts to deliver assigned volume objectives
  • Maintain open communication with relevant District Managers to ensure effective program implementation at assigned accounts. Leverage input from the team to develop strong plans and conceptual sells to the retailers
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to update Regional Accounts on business, channel competition, opportunities, and promotions
  • Routinely engages in activities to build relationships and ‘wire’ key accounts beyond buyer level
  • Customizes sales pitch to achieve account goals while driving effective, permanent displays
  • Creatively sells Red Bull standards and price points in a way that resonates with the customer’s needs
  • Managing, motivating and sharing best practices with the ASM’s
  • Leadership needed to build relationships and respect in the field
  • Manage Red Bull products and ensure full distribution
  • Determine current and ongoing product needs due to display pull through and Ad activity
  • Ensure that all Red Bull equipment is clean and in good working order.
  • Establish and maintain friendly and professional relationships with management teams to increase sales and selling space
  • Evaluate all competitors’ activities such as new launches and price reductions and communicate with Director of Key Accounts.
  • Meet monthly key performance indicators (KPI‘s) focused on the following areas: sales, distribution, pricing, display, and merchandising components
  • Build and protect the Red Bull brand
  • Other duties as assigned [TS2]


Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

  • 2 - 3 yrs experience in DSD management, including proven track record of meeting exceeding assigned sales objectives[TS3]
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and logistics skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Current driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to regularly lift and move 25 lbs. over your head
