VTG is seeking a Knowledge Manager Summer Intern to provide administrative and data management support to several document and data repositories. This position is hybrid (onsite/remote) and will report to our Washington, DC office.

• Provides Subject Matter Expertise in knowledge management, information infrastructure, and information organization;
• Researches and designs business unit strategy on knowledge management for several document repositories and ecosystems;
• Communicates and recommends paths forward on knowledge management decisions, actions, and next steps to business unit leadership;
• Implements information organization design in several document ecosystems;
• Maintains the integrity, structure, and security of multiple document repositories through performance analysis, data monitoring, and document recovery;
• Develops, implements, and maintains policies / procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the knowledge ecosystems;
• Provides lifecycle support to create, maintain, modify, test, document, and update repositories and databases.

Required Skills:

• Must be a US Citizen;
• Must be actively enrolled in a Associates, Bachelor, or Masters program;
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word);
• Experience with cloud-based documentation management systems (examples: Google Drive, Microsoft Office365, Dropbox, Slack).

Preferred Skills:

• Enrolled in an Information Science, Information Management, Database Administration, or Data Science academic program;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Online and On-Premise Ecosystem to include SharePoint, One Drive, MS Teams, Planner, OneNote;
• Experience with data visualization tools like Excel Charts or Tableau.
