Job Title – Laboratory Warehouse Clerk
Department – Tracer Diagnostics
Reports to – Laboratory Director

Job Summary*
The Laboratory Warehouse Clerk is primary responsible for sample receipt and data entry into LIMS, and organization and maintenance of our sample warehouse. They will work with Material Sample Handlers, Chemists and Sales to ensure projects are properly created/updated in LIMS and that sample analyses are appropriately tracked. They will also assist Laboratory Technicians with tasks related to sample preparation.
Key areas of responsibility

• Oversees receipt of samples for analysis
• ensures samples are logged in and organized appropriately
• ensures records are kept for each well/sample analysis

• Coordinate paperwork and create wells and projects in LIMS with Account Managers, Engineering Technical Advisors or Sales Coordinators as required
• Maintain library of samples in laboratory warehouse; coordinate disposal as needed
• Prepares selected samples for instrumental analysis by following established methods and procedures
• Help ensure data is reported on
• Assists with purchasing of all lab supplies
• Operation of standard laboratory preparation equipment (solid-phase extraction manifolds; rotary evaporators)
• Follows and ensures strict safety processes and safety checks
• Support and uphold HS&E policies and procedures of NCS and the customer
• Align individual goals with NCS’s corporate goals, while adhering to the NCS Promise
• Participate in Personal Development for Success (PDS)
• Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Education/experience
• US: High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred; experience in laboratory setting desired

• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic, fast paced environment
• High level of efficiency and work ethic, strong interpersonal/communication skills
• Shows initiative, enthusiasm and attention to detail in all assignments
• Ability to work in the presence of odors typical of petroleum, petrochemicals and laboratory chemicals without allergic reaction or nausea
• Ability to stand, bend and sit for extended time periods
• Ability to work in climate and non-climate-controlled area (95% climate, 5% non-climate)
• Ability to move or lift 50lbs

• Status: Hourly, non-exempt
• Employment Classification: Full-time, Regular
• Work Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Overtime as required.
• Bonus Eligibility: 3%
• Criminal background check required for all positions
• Safety sensitive positions will require additional pre-employment testing
