JOB TITLE: Application Solutions Architect/ Java Developer

CLIENT: US Federal Government

LOCATION: Fully Remote

SUMMARY:

We are looking to improve and modernize the client's web-based applications that serve as core information management systems enabling the client to accomplish its critical missions as well as:

• Improving Access and User Functionality
• Establishing Higher Security and Flexibility
• Eliminating Redundant Processes and Reporting
• Improving Data Sharing
• Reducing Errors and Improving Error Handling

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, the Application Solutions Architect/Developer must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed in a satisfactory manner:

• Collaborate with various stakeholders including system owners, business analysts, application developers and engineering team on requirements, scope, business environments and processes to create and implement service-oriented solutions
• Transform requirements into end-to-end technical solutions to cover business, functional, technical, management and security, etc. areas
• Design, code, test and manage various applications; follow outlined standards of quality related to code and systems
• Collaborate with development, engineering and product teams to establish standard process and best practices in an Agile/Scrum (SAFe) environment
• Support automated tests and conduct performance tuning
• Monitor and maintain existing SOA solutions
• Adapt existing architecture to align with new business goals
• Develop architecture and design document

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; technical disciplines or relevant field preferred

PREFERRED SKILL SETS and/or TOOLS:

• Java/EJB/J2EE, Spring framework, Servlets, JSP, jQuery, Java Script, AJAX, HTML5 & CSS3
• Eclipse or NetBeans
• Web Service APIs and REST APIs, JSON, XML
• Object Orient Programing and Service Oriented Architecture
• JDBC, ODBJ, Hibernate, Recordsets
• Oracle and SQL Database Servers
• Application Design, Diagrams of Event, Activity, Class Diagram, Component/Package, and deployment
• Design tools: SparX, Visio, and BPL
• Jira, Confluence, MS Teamwork, and ServiceNow
• CI/CD tools Jenkins, Git/GitHub/GetLab, or CircleCI
• Working Knowledge of Agile/Scrum with SDLC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
