Learning & Development Manager (Workday Migration), 18-month contract
Job description
You will be the lead manager in helping STB's L&D team migrate existing L&D processes onto Workday. This will include working with STB's L&D officers to review our L&D policy and processes where relevant, and digitalising/automating any other relevant processes that will enable us to drive STB's learning agenda & outcomes more effectively.
This role is a 18-month contract position.
Main responsibilities:
1. Design the envisaged end state: Map out STB's existing L&D processes, in the areas of course registrations, compiling learning reports etc. Next, study Workday functions (L&D modules), and detail the potential impact on migrating STB's L&D processes onto Workday. Finally, design workarounds to address the impacted processes (i.e. processes that cannot be fulfilled by Workday).
2. Operationalise the migration: Document and provide the data mapping requirements to the vendor, to capture data from existing processes into Workday. Next, perform testing on the data migration and verify the test results provided by the vendor. Communicate the progress of the data migration and testing results to STB's L&D project team timely, highlighting issues in the migration/interface logic, and possible workarounds. Also, track and manage each defect and the remediation approach, and review/ update the L&D policies and processes arising from the migration.
3. Communicate the process changes: Work with STB's OD team to prepare change management material/ staff communication to guide business users (i.e. STB line units) on changes to the process. Additionally, respond to queries and provide support to STB's business users on changes to the L&D process post-migration.
4. Any other related tasks/projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Functional Competencies:
- Systems Development, Implementation & Operations - Translate business processes into process maps and system specifications to enhance operations and data analytics. Also, to make recommendations and necessary interventions to enhance data integrity and user experience.
Experience:
- 2-3 years' experience in working with Workday modules
- 3-4 years' experience in project management, migration and system integration
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in L&D, and knowledge of design thinking and workshop facilitation will be an added advantage
- Excellent communications, negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to change manage and influence stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills, with ability to perform root-cause analysis and problem-solve
