Spur is looking for hard working and dependable lifeguards in the Town of Palm Beach area. Pay starting at $16.85 and up. The ideal candidate will have experience working in life saving conditions and first aid experience. The primary duty of this position will be to insure public order and safety and supervise and direct lifeguard activities. The employee must be self-motivated and capable of performing hazardous duties using independent judgement. They would be required to render first aid and maintain and operate water safety equipment. This position works under the supervision of the Ocean Rescue Supervisor. Must have a high school diploma or GED, current First responder Certification or be able to pass one within one year, and a valid driver's license. . Must be able to lift or carry up to 100 lbs. .

Duties expected of this position are:

• Monitor beachfront behavior and activity from an observation point.

• Protect Life and Property on the Town's public beaches and waterways.

• Observe activities on the public beach to insure public order and safety

• Renders first-aid on the beachfront as needed

• Assisting with set-up, implementing games and activities, and cleaning up for special events

• conducts daily water rescue and physical training exercises for lifeguards

• Insures maintenance of all beach patrol equipment to operational levels

• Work up to 40 hours/week by picking up shifts in the app
