Alsum Companies, a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Local Truck Driver. You would transport and deliver fresh produce within a 150-mile radius in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.

Work Location: Friesland, WI

Specific Duties

• Check tractor and trailer for oil, air, fuel, etc
• Must be able to hook and unhook tractors and trailers
• Keep equipment neat and clean inside and out
• Keep mileage and fuel records accurate and up to date
• Unload and check in deliveries with customers which may include hand unloading of pallets
• Check the quantity and quality of any product picked up
• Unload your trailer when you return each day
• Assist the warehouse team to help load and/or unload trucks as needed
• Represent Alsum Transport in a quality manner as you are in view of the customer

Physical Demands

• Must be able to pull pallets, using a pallet jack, off of truck and trailer that weigh between 500 and 2000 lbs. and at times need to be pulled up an incline and dropped in customers' store or warehouse
• Ability to lift produce or potatoes weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed if pallets need to be hand unloaded

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of tractor/trailer driving experience and must be 21 years of age
• Valid CDL; must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening; good driving record
• Must have a current Department of Transportation physical exam certification on file
