POSITION SUMMARY

The following generally describe the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time in order to successfully perform the assigned duties. Ability to:

  • Maintain and update reoccurring orders daily for efficiencies and notes shift
  • Maintain off-road tanks with Admin Assistant (3-4 ft) Kissimmee Bulk Plant
  • Input orders thru order processing (quotes) and apply them to the appropriate route.
  • Studies orders and other records to determine shipping priorities and work assignment and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules relevant to shift.
  • Schedules movement of petroleum products to minimize contamination of various grades or types of products.
  • Monitor tank monitors and key in orders accordingly.
  • Investigates vehicle efficiencies through Fleetmatics. Route vs Actual vs Mileage.
  • Directs activities of drivers while on the road by phone and by Fleetmatics.
  • Establishes delivery routes utilizing the recurring orders format
  • Reviews correlating data such as fuel quantity and availability with variables affecting consumer demand such as weather conditions, supply point and time of day to forecast load adjustments review supply point loads vs time change prices.
  • Print paperwork for drivers (dispatch log, recap, invoice, etc.)
  • Verify Driver logs exceeding the 12 hour rule.
  • Review incoming driver paperwork to verify all work was completed to Lynch Oil standards.
  • Notify Customer immediately if any order cannot be completed for any reason via telephone.
  • Document “rolled” stops in daily paperwork with reason
  • Monitor driver’s hours worked to meet DOT requirements and reduce overtime.
  • Daily approval of hours on drivers timecard.
  • Manage vacation and sick time request. Ensures drivers timecard is accurate.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, and counseling employees, including performance reviews, disciplinary action and terminations.
  • Manages the driving staff day-to-day activities, providing developmental performance feedback.
  • Ensures all drivers are properly trained according to both company policies and DOT Safety procedures and regulations.
  • Daily driver/vehicle inspection
  • Review DVIR’s with Fleet Manager and coordinate repairs with Fleet Manager and Drivers.
  • Keep all drivers up to date on spill prevention, response procedures and Safety
  • Makes recommendations to improve methods, performance, and quality of service and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years dispatching experience.
  • Must have 1 year experience directly managing personnel.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Application, (Windows, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be well organized, and must be attentive to details.
  • Results-oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
