We are seeking a Logistics Engineer to join our Specialty Engineering Team of RMS. The successful candidate will have strong organization skills to be able to develop logistics governance processes, standards, and tools that provide long term support of ATE stations for the Lockheed Martin LMSTAR PBL program. The motivated candidate will be able to work independently, performing a wide array of logistics analyses across multiple programs to drive supportability, efficiency, and cost competitive supply chain approaches.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, update, maintain supply chain logistics program processes
  • Perform supportability analysis and maintain LMI databases (ADIS, etc.) for hardware products
  • Corelate data across a plethora of databases for large scale metric-based business case analysis
  • Develop predictive modeling approaches for forecasting material demand, sparing, etc.
  • Support proposal and Vendor Statement of Work (VSOW) development
  • Develop, release, and maintain Program Directive (PD) documentation including contractual authorizations and global supply chain initiatives
  • Issue SRMs including management of StOPs
  • Support all stages of material acquisition from an engineering perspective
  • Provide cross functional team support, data, and process integration
  • Act as decision point for a variety of supply chain processes including asset order quantities, scrapping/salvaging of material, obsolescence LTB, reclamation determinations, etc.

In this role, the Logistics Engineer will:

  • Control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements; ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, and related functions.
  • Builds relationships with strategic stakeholders through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Minimum 2 years of providing logistics analysis and engineering support
  • Demonstrated experience using a logistics database
  • Demonstrated experience on developing logistic strategies for hardware equipment
  • Highly proficient in Excel and other MS office products
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Logistics engineering experience supporting reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) assessment for spare listing and support management
  • Component obsolescence life-cycle longevity assessment and DMS mitigation
  • Experience using ADIS database and EPDM configuration management toolset
  • Experience developing Logistics Support Analyses (LSA) including Critical Items List, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), maintenance planning, Provisioning Parts List (PPL), and understanding of total life cycle management of supply chain logistics
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
