When people think of mattress sales jobs the picture that classic used car salesman. You know the one with the button down and tie next to the inflatable flopping sale sign. We are not that. Our unique concepts require maintaining strong relationships with luxury customers. If you are looking for a sales opportunity that will provide the right tools to be successful and provide opportunities for growth, you have found it. Our retail mattress store is looking for the right person to represent our brands and values. This opportunity doesn't come around often. Our luxury stores sells mattresses with prices ranging from a few hundred to over 125,000!

We are a family owned and operated company that has been in business for over 17 years. We currently have three different mattress store concepts, and are in the process of expanding to new locations.

We are looking for a sales consultant that will represent our brand well and maintain strong relationships with our clients. Someone that is comfortable with luxury clients, has great organization, and is not afraid to ask for the sale. Mattress sales experience is not required, but can be helpful. The one thing we require is a strong customer service background. Bonus if you have some interior design experience. This is a competitive job and requires being able to perform under stress. A strong work ethic and positive attitude is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  • Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
  • Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
  • Actively seek out customers in store
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  • Cross sell products
  • Handle returns of merchandise
  • Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
  • Build productive trust relationships with customers
  • Comply with inventory control procedures
  • Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design)

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales Representative or similar role
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Track record of over-achieving sales quota
  • Hands-on experience with POS transactions (Storis)
  • Familiarity with inventory procedures
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • Availability to work flexible shifts
