Job Description:


The Maintenance Dispatcher is primarily responsible for daily communication regarding inquiries or requests pertaining to Maintenance work orders. An employee in this role has the general responsibility for receiving, recording, and relaying work orders to appropriate maintenance crew members. Work is performed under general supervision according to established procedures.


Responsibilities:


  • Receive, record and distribute work orders; dispatch to maintenance technicians for service or repair
  • Record information in our work order system such as name, type of work requested or service to be rendered
  • Interact with vendors regarding scheduling, supplies and materials
  • Keep record of service and maintenance calls and work orders
  • Maintain status of all standing work orders and related costs
  • Compile reports related to individual unit's activities

REQUIREMENTS

  • Considerable knowledge of office practices, procedures, equipment and standard clerical techniques.
  • Some knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques and practices. Able and willing to learn software.
  • Some knowledge of property maintenance practices, methods, materials, necessary equipment, maintenance needs and service requirements.
  • Able to obtain critical information through verbal, written and personal contact and analyze situations promptly to determine proper course of action.
  • Able to deal courteously with owners, guests and fellow staff members.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and agree to a background check.
