This position’s job function maintains and enhances relationships with business regarding regulatory affairs. Other responsibilities include leading a team of regulatory analysts and consultants within E&I LCRA - Domestic to support Surest business priorities.
Specifically, this position will support the Surest work required from a regulatory perspective. Responsibilities include aligning with the business to:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage team supporting business of regulatory and program management function.
- Assist with regulatory projects across high-complexity, multi-workstream engagements
- Provide status updates and review of deliverables to senior leadership team and other stakeholders
- Provide timely coaching and mentoring of team
- Create a team-oriented work climate that encourages creative solutions and strategies
- Communicate effectively and accurately in writing and verbally
- Demonstrate relationship management skills
- Provide input to the development of program roadmap and timelines
- Diagnose business identified issues (as well as underlying circumstances) and determine appropriate solutions
- Manage project and issue management
- Develop solutions to meet identified business needs
- Assist LCRA leaders supporting Surest
- Serve as a key resource on complex and / or critical issues
- Participate and/or lead, as needed, on work groups and special project teams.
- Additional research, tracking, and other ad hoc tasks as identified

Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience working in health care, managed care and/or health insurance
- 6+ years of experience working in a highly regulated environment
- Experience in managing projects
- Experience managing and mentoring direct reports
- Advanced computer skills with MS Office, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience working with multi-disciplinary teams comprised of product, operations, marketing/communications, reporting and technology
- Experience with UnitedHealthcare commercial products and services
- Take charge, results-oriented and driven individual that is comfortable working with ambiguity and maintains flexibility in fluid environments
- Analytical, complex problem solving, decision-making and solid leadership skills
- Organizational and project management skills
- Results-oriented individual with solid influencing, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Capable of developing and maintaining good working relationships with team members and business leaders
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
