Reporting to the Director of Lab & Cardiopulmonary, the Therapy Manager will coordinate a fluid and cohesive work atmosphere in a tight knit department consisting of 14 employees including skilled Respiratory Therapists, techs, and other healthcare professionals. This RT Manager will also act as a liaison between the clinical leads in the department and other unit Directors. Primary responsibilities include providing direct care to patients with breathing-related conditions, conducting diagnostic testing, equipment maintenance, performance improvement initiatives, and budgeting. The Manager of Respiratory Therapy is also responsible for developing policies and procedures, staffing, training, and maintaining compliance standards.

The Respiratory Therapy Services Manager will be integral to the Pulmonary Department’s daily operations. The ideal Manager of Respiratory Therapy will possess the ability manage life support mechanical ventilation systems and artificial airways, conduct Echo and Stress tests, and monitor equipment related to cardiopulmonary therapy. Qualifications for the Respiratory Therapy Services Manager include the completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program as well as two to five years of Respiratory Therapy practice in the acute-care setting. Previous leadership experience is a huge plus that will make for quick interviews!
