Position Summary

Nestled in southeast Missouri, Bloomfield is a small town with a rich history – and we’ve been proud to call Bloomfield home to one of our litter factories since 1976. This factory was the first to produce Lightweight® litter, which has revolutionized the category within the pet care industry – a product that weighs half the amount of conventional litter. Unique to this factory is an overhead bridge that allows full pallets of finished products to be conveyed to the distribution center just north of the factory. This innovation, in conjunction with various others, played a considerable role in Nestlé Purina earning the Malcolm Baldrige Award.

As a Material Handler, you will supply packaging lines in the manufacturing facility with all necessary raw materials. You will store and stack finished goods in the warehouse and complete tasks using a forklift in a safe and efficient manner. In addition, you will also be responsible for reviewing and actively participating in reoccurring risk assessments for the facility.

• Supply materials to line operators and additive technicians to assure a smooth, continuous operation of line processes.
• Assist in unloading raw materials (i.e. jugs, pails, lids, caps, pallets, bags, and any other material pertinent to the running of a smooth, continuous operation).
• Keep accurate records for all reporting on production and inventory/receiving cards.
• Supply packaging area with bulk clay products.
• Operate equipment necessary to load bins.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent
• 1+ years of experience operating a forklift
