Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Materials Acceptance Supervisor to join our team based out of our Redmond, WA site to coordinate the strategy, receipt, placement, and compliance across our locations. This position will report into Area Operations Manager.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Manage receipt of approximately 700k tons of clean fill and inert waste per year across 8 locations and compliance of permit-required inspection, documentation, and management of all program processes.
• Assist Mine Managers and Production Supervisors in planning and directing the daily operations of the backfill site, including supervision of staff, production efficiency and cost-effectiveness of operations.
• Identify opportunities, develop strategies, and execute the plan for operational improvement of the backfill business.
• Coordinates backfill operations to comply with reclamation plans for all aggregate sites.
• Coordinate with sales and customers to receive Soil Declarations and Soil Characterization reports in a timely manner for review by the Environmental Department.
• Work closely Geotechnical Engineers to ensure soil placement complies with guidelines at all sites and mandated placement for High Rock slope stability mitigation.
• Report and track key performance indicators for the Backfill business.

Essential Experience and Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED, AA or BS preferred.
• 5 years in construction, mining, or logistics
• Ability to manage geographically separated sites; abide by and enforce safety regulations; communicate effectively; understand and ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations; coordination with multiple stakeholders; Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Post-secondary education in Mining, Geology or Engineering, or similar disciplines may be considered.
