Medical Assistant

Part Time: Monday to Friday 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Possibility to extend to Full Time.

No experience or degree required but willingness to learn!

Job responsibilities:

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner. Escort patients to testing area and exam rooms.
• Enter chief complaint, baseline vital signs (BP, P, T°, Wt., & R), medical history, medications, and allergies in electronic medical records.
• Keeping patient exam room and equipment tidy.
• Assisting with other office tasks including scheduling appointments, calling insurance companies for authorizations, followup with patients and inquiries.
• Answers phone calls from patients with clinical questions and routes the phone messages to the appropriate provider.
• The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, enjoys helping people, and can work in a fast-paced environment.
• Has working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA rules.
• Able to pay meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
