The Member Consultant performs all the functions of branch operations and sales, including consumer lending, new accounts, front-desk, teller, and digital branch services. Responsible for cash functions related to members’ requests. Actively promotes and cross-sells CommonWealth One’s products and services. The Member Consultant must display a welcoming and positive demeanor at all times while providing assistance at the front desk, teller line, and/or any of our digital platforms.
The Member Consultants may be assigned to float to another branch to provide coverage.
Responsibilities:
· Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt accurate, and efficient member transactions.
· Ensures that all teller functions are correctly performed and are in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensures that all security procedures are followed.
· Performs teller paying and receiving functions as required. Receives share deposits and loan payments. Prepares proper receipts.
· Provide product and service information to existing members and prospective members. Anticipate and recognize member issues, complaints, or problems, and facilitate the first point of contact resolution of these issues.
· Supports the credit union's objectives and promotions by encouraging the use of multiple products and services to meet the member's financial needs.
· Processes new memberships by opening accounts and new service requests such as additional share accounts, savings services, checking, money market, certificates, IRAs, referrals, etc., meeting all quality control standards.
· Maybe assigned to originate and process consumer loans, from start to finish, meeting all quality control standards.
· Ensures compliance with all applicable federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Security, OFAC, and the SAFE Act.
· Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

· Meet assigned goals by recommending credit union product and service solutions that will assist our members in reaching their financial goals.
· Ensures reports and records are accurately completed in a timely manner.
· Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude towards members and other employees.
· Informs managers of branch activities in a timely manner.
· Displays a professional appearance that supports the credit union’s brand.
· Dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
· Promotes the credit union’s Core Values and Cultural Beliefs.
Position Qualifications:
Education & Experience
· Prior customer service experience in retail sales or financial services environment.
· High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college experience is preferred.
Knowledge
· Basic math and computation.
· Credit union or banking products and services.
· NMLS certification required in first 90 days in the role.
Skills & Abilities
· Consistent excellent customer service skills.
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Problem-solving, conflict-resolution capabilities.
· PC skills (including Microsoft Office and banking platforms).
Other Pertinent Information:
· Regular and satisfactory attendance is required.
· Must maintain an acceptable personal credit history and be bondable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
