Position Description:

The Intensive Behavioral Support Provider works with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. The Intensive Behavioral Support Provider is responsible for implementation of the intensive behavioral support care plan designed and maintained by Clinical Leadership (Behavior Analyst). The Intensive Behavioral Support Provider assists family members in maintaining the client in their home. This includes relieving the family members from basic self-help needs and other activities of daily living, including interaction, socialization, and continuation of daily routines, which family members would ordinarily perform.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides one-to-one behavior intervention services to individual clients as instructed by Clinical Leadership and based on individual treatment plans as written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Implements the goals/objectives for an individual child as defined in the treatment plan
  • Relays information regarding the child and his/her program to the BCBA and/or Executive Clinical Supervisor
  • Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
  • Assists client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation, and other activities as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
  • At least one year of experience working with children or adults with special needs, developmental delays, or disabilities, including severe or challenging behavior
  • Current in-person CPR/ First Aid certification for Adult & Children (or willing to get)
  • Updated TB test within past 90 days (or willing to get)
