JOB SUMMARY:
Performs emergency and scheduled psychiatric evaluations, individual therapy, group therapy and case-management functions to clients in mental health programs associated with Shore Health System.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Conducts intake interviews, psychosocial and mental status evaluations for primary psychiatric triage and care.
  • Develops an individualized plan of care for each client in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Provides individual therapy, group therapy and case management functions.
  • Monitors clients' responses to treatment and revises the plan of care.
  • Collaborates with the Psychiatrist, Director of Behavioral Health Services, referral sources and community agencies.

What You Need to Be Successful:


MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing, social work, or counseling required.
  • LCSW (Licensed Certified Social Worker) OR LCPC (Licensed Professional Counselor, OR RN with APRN (Clinical Nurse Specialist) required.
  • Candidates with LGSW or LGPC will be considered, but must receive LCSW or LCPC within 1 year. Minimum of two years of outpatient psychiatric nursing or social work experience in a mental health setting, preferred.
