Network/Systems Administrator

Location: West Salem Clinic, 1233 Edgewater Street NW, Salem OR 97304 (Not a remote position)

Job Status: Full-time, Monday - Friday

YOUR ROLE:

As a Network / Systems Administrator for NWHS, you will assist with administering the network, server, computer and phone systems for the organization. You will perform installation, upgrades, security patches, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and security solutions, including, but not limited to: firewall, routers, antivirus and intrusion detection systems. You will perform Network and Server security audits, as well as assist in management of NWHS servers, including e-mail, print, file, SQL, Citrix, EHR, Mitel, and their associated operating systems and software. This position also assists in the administration of the agency's phone system and performs installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of the end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Additionally, you will monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 3 years equivalent work experience
• Must have demonstrable knowledge of Cisco (WAN and LAN), servers, and laptop and desktop computers
• A strong understanding of the principles, practices and techniques of computer science, networking and data processing is required
• Ability to conduct research on errors, end-user problems, networking issues and products is required
• Must be highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention-to-detail
• Must have proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Requires the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong Customer Service orientation is required
• Convey complex technical information to individuals at all levels of ability in a user-friendly language
