Basic Purpose

To consult with Navy Federal leaders and employees to identify and address organizational development needs. Design, create, implement, and evaluate development resources and programs for all levels of Navy Federal leaders, employees, and enterprise-wide initiatives in alignment with Navy Federal’s Strategic Plan.

This role will be an integral part of the Talent Development team providing organizational development support to business units and key talent programs. Critical to this position is the ability to wear multiple hats as you successfully develop and drive talent and organization development initiatives in the context of a high-visibility, fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and thrive as an individual contributor, working closely with a co-located and geographically dispersed team. This is a hybrid role and will require program management, organization development, and measurement skills. We are looking for a strong relationship builder, and continuous learner, who is comfortable and experienced working with senior leaders and employees at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for Navy Federal leaders in designated business units by providing development support such as facilitating new leader integrations, gathering, and debriefing feedback for leader development, providing assessment debriefs, and providing ongoing leadership development support
  • Consult on and provide resources in team effectiveness and efficiency, team interventions, team development, change management, and strategic planning
  • Support the enterprise by designing and implementing integrated processes and programs focused on talent management, employee engagement, communities of practice, and competency integration into the performance management cycle
  • Design and develop learning and development solutions using a proven development life cycle to ensure that the desired learning objectives and goals are achieved: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE)
  • Ensure project deliverables are met in accordance with customers' expectations, timelines & budget constraints
  • Utilize expertise in competencies to consult on each step within the performance management cycle and individual development planning
  • Debrief and deliver assessment results to individuals or groups on various talent assessment tools, including but not limited to 360 Assessments, EQ assessments, DiSC, etc.
  • Lead, coordinate, or support leadership training and development programs including the Executive Development Program (EDP) for hi-potential leaders, annual Talent Review process, administration of 360 assessments, executive education programs, community leadership programs, in-house experiential development events, etc.
  • Conduct ongoing research on industry best practices and serve as knowledge resource for organizational development, leadership development, learning effectiveness, coaching, and other methodologies and tools
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify development opportunities and recommend applicable business solutions
  • Interpret results of analysis; present recommendations, alternatives, and implications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
  • Ability to drive high visibility programs in areas related to talent development and learning and development (e.g., technical training, onboarding and immersion, career pathing, performance management, etc.)
  • Experience identifying relevant analytical problems, determining appropriate diagnostic methods, and solving unique and complex issues/problems
  • Expertise collaborating and partnering with others (Learning and Development, HR Business Partners, and clients) for talent development programs including ongoing talent program coordination, selection, evaluation, improvement, and refinement including researching and assessing best practices and alternative approaches
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Willingness and ability to learn and combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on application
  • Effective skill in presenting findings and conclusions clearly and concisely to stakeholders and management
  • Understanding of design principles and ability to deliver and facilitate learning solutions, focus groups, interviews, executive presentations, etc.
  • Strong strategic business acumen and mature professional judgment
  • Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals

Salary Range: $62,900 - $107,500 annually

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.
