Differential Pay: Earn and additional $1-$2/hour for overnight shifts!

For over 60 years, Walker Therapeutic and Educational Programs is a leading non-profit organization providing comprehensive programming in the fields of child welfare, children’s behavioral health, and special education. We proudly serve over 150 communities in MA, with our clients coming from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, who struggle predominantly with anxiety and trauma. These services are offered through; Residential, CBAT, and Intensive Treatment Programs, Special Education Day School, Therapeutic Middle-High School, Out-Patient and In-Home Therapeutic Services.

Essential Functions for this position include:

  • Actively monitor children during the overnight hours, including conducting 15-minute visual bed checks
  • Work as part of a team to provide a therapeutic milieu environment for children, to further the emotional, behavioral, and educational development of children, and maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Apply Walker’s model of childcare, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) verbal and physical deescalation methods
  • Actively participate and respond to supervision and professional development opportunities offered at Walker
  • Properly attend to administrative functions of childcare, including attending required meetings; completing assigned oral and written report writing tasks
  • Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and safely
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, lifting, and phyisical therapeutic interventions
  • Complete assigned housekeeping and laundry tasks.
  • Follow and implement all Walker policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Shifts:

Sunday - Wednesday - 10:00pm-9:00am

Wednesday - Saturday: 10:00pm-9:00am

Friday - Sunday: 11:00pm-9:00am

*Other shifts will be considered based on availability!

Qualifications: Successful candidates will posess minimally a High School Diploma or GED, Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience.

Students pursing continuing education in the following fields are also strongly encouraged to apply: Special Education, Pyschology, and Criminal Justice

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
