We have an exciting opportunity at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center (BAPAC)! We are seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and motivated Marketing Assistant (Part-time Hourly City Worker) to perform a variety of duties pertaining to the promotion of more than 250 annual events at the BAPAC. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and passion for the performing arts. As a Marketing Assistant this position will report to the Director of Marketing and assist with emails, social media accounts, websites, and perform other general office support and administrative duties. This individual is expected to be self-motivated, responsible, and able to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.

The Marketing Assistant is a part-time, hourly, at-will position that involves working approximately 15-25 hours per week, not to exceed 1000 hours per fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for creating and deploying a variety of electronic communications
  • Develop and post engaging social content on social media platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Assist in support and maintenance of websites related to BAPAC and its events and activities
  • Create in-house digital posters and lobby displays
  • Edit, polish and proofread content
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Have experience working with email marketing and social media marketing platforms
  • Have design and editing skills (i.e., graphic design, photography, videography) are preferred for success in this role (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva)
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and a passion for people
  • Strong computer skills/acumen for learning new technology in online or mobile platforms
  • Be a team player who works well with others, is motivated, and is able to understand and follow directions.
