Mountaineer RV & Outdoor Center is a family owned business that not only sale and repair RV’s, they offer Kayaks and numerous other retail items for RV’s. The posted position is full time with benefits, rotating days and offers RV market competitive wages.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for customer service to include, greeting each retail customer that enters the dealership, answer phones and direct calls to appropriate department identifying products that meet the customers needs and identifying substitute items or additional items based on customer inquiries. Create an environment that is merchandise driven and customer focused.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software to complete work and provide quality customer service.

  • A minimum of 2 – 3 years of previous customer service experience.
  • 2-3 years previous retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • RV experience and knowledge preferred.

Essential Duties:

  • Communicates and models company initiatives, goals and policies towards company, co-workers, vendors, and customers.
  • Keep floor/showroom neat, clean and orderly in accordance with dealership display standards.
  • Maintain a safe work area for customers and co-workers.
  • Ordering RV related stock product, store and customer special orders.
  • Ensure that POs are generated upon ordering parts.
  • Knowledge of logistics of all parts and merchandise ordered.
  • Up sell of parts to customers in accordance with company standards.
  • Perform daily rolling inventory cycle counts of progressive bins, investigate variances and report findings to the parts manager.
  • Ability to identify substitute parts information.
  • Responsible for following up with parts manager for items that have been ordered for customers.
  • Establish positive customer relationships by providing timely and efficient service.
  • Knowledge of products and RVs to assure customer needs are met.
  • Complete all assigned training. Within established time frame, to assure proficiency in ability to meet performance standards for position.
  • Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations, places special orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports functions of the parts department and receiving department by assisting as directed.
  • Answers all phone calls in a timely manner and return calls same day or next day to assure prompt customer service.

Cashier functions as assigned:

  • Check out all customers.
  • Manage and balance drawer daily by accurately closing out customer invoices and reconciling data in DMS to cash/check/credit card processing on hand at end of shift.
  • Present end of day transaction report, credit card batch report and deposit to accounting department at end of shift.
  • Prepare deposits daily.
