About the Position: Remote Intake Coordinator - Registered Dietitian Clinic

Health Loft is seeking an Intake Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills that is motivated, and self-driven. This position would serve as the initial point of contact for new patients, collecting relevant history and insurance information over the phone, and scheduling new patient appointments. This individual would also assist with collection of patient payments as needed.

This position is full-time salaried role, with benefits, and allows for full-time work from home.

Health Loft, based in Chicago, Illinois, provides medical nutritional counseling from expert registered dietitians (RD's) to individuals in multiple states. We make it easy for patients to see an RD by accepting their health insurance and offering convenient access to a licensed professional via our telehealth platform.

Job responsibilities includes but not limited to:

  • Answer all incoming calls promptly, politely, and take/relay messages as necessary.
  • Following up with and scheduling new patient leads.
  • Greet patients immediately and warmly on the phone.
  • Greet referral sources doctor’s offices, insurance adjusters, nurse case managers, with warmth, respect and appreciation for their business.
  • Schedule new and existing patients in accordance with clinic policy.
  • Maintain all patient charts according to company policy.
  • Collect deductibles, co-insurance, and co-payments.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Responsible for tracking and documentation of referrals and new patient leads.
  • Complete assigned projects on time and within parameters as directed by management.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Must have worked in the medical field or related field within the last two years

  • High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with Google Workspace a +
  • Previous experience using EMR/EHR system.
  • Must demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Basic medical terminology preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
