Summary:

Under the daily direction of the Manager or Assistant Manager of Parking, performs financial functions, reception and general office duties assigned by supervisor for the Public Building Authority (“PBA”) Parking Division by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist customer calls/emails made to Parking Office.
  • Greets office visitors and assist them as needed.
  • Set up and process new parking accounts with current processing system.
  • Unlock payment lockbox each morning in PARIS.
  • Record and process accounts receivable invoices and payments.
  • Process checks daily utilizing with current processing system.
  • Reconcile invoices to the accounts payable.
  • File and organize daily reports within the current filing system.
  • Audit, file, and organize daily processed tickets and shift paperwork.
  • Reconcile cash receipts to payment and bank statement transactions.
  • Process and print parking validations.
  • Retrieve, open and sort mail daily from post office.
  • Contact monthly parkers with rejected autopay in system.
  • Print daily general total reports.
  • Manage waiting list for lots and garages.
  • Faxes, photocopies and distributes documents and records.
  • Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, faxes and documents.
  • Acts as Department runner for pickups and deliveries, as assigned.
  • Performs other duties relating to Parking functions, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five (5) years related experience with similar duties is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or similar with three (1) years related experience with similar duties preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (non-physical):

  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Knowledge of mathematical processes to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of computation of rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memoranda.
  • Ability to write simple and/or routine correspondence and memoranda.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, vendors and co-workers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and numerical or graph and diagram form.
  • Ability to attend to detail and process; compare data and reconcile differences.
  • Ability to work independently on difficult computer and accounting procedures.

Computer, Machine & Equipment Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Items 1 through 7 and the ability to learn, operate and effectively use Item 8 below.

  • Personal computer and related peripherals.
  • Windows Operating or networked computer environment.
  • Microsoft Office 2007 or higher version of MS Office with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook applications.
  • Calculator.
  • Multi-line telephone systems.
  • Photocopier/Fax/Scanner.
  • Great Plains Financial Accounting software application.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must have no felony convictions. Must have no misdemeanor convictions that would compromise the mission of the Public Building Authority.
