Job Description:

The Role

The People Operations Manager collaborates with the People Operations Leader team to drive the execution of key people initiatives and management programs that focus on the continued growth, development, experiences and engagement of our people. They will consult on people-related best practices and collaborate on solutions to provide an excellent team member experience aligned with the Firm’s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with other People Operations Managers to ensure efficient and effective execution and strategic management of the people initiatives and programs.
  • Establishes and maintain the processes to drive key people initiatives which support the Firm and business unit; manage the development of process documentation and improvement.
  • Builds effective relationships with team members and business leaders to provide seamless transactional and strategic Human Resources support.
  • Engages and delivers on diverse talent-related projects as directed by the People Operations Lead.
  • Partners with business leaders to manage and resolve employee relations matters in accordance with company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Investigates, resolves, and documents complex and sensitive employee relations issues, professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Partners with other People Operations team members in analyzing trends and metrics, performance, job descriptions, span of control, employee engagement, manager feedback, attrition and provides recommendations for solutions.
  • Coaches people leaders on performance management, employee development, and compensation.
  • Examines people-related metrics to understand trends, and translates data into business solutions that drive employee engagement.
  • Manages the processes that drive execution of the merit and recognition cycle, serving as an advisor to people managers and other leaders.
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning.
  • Gather and analyze data, reason logically, draw valid conclusions, and work with People Operations Lead to make appropriate recommendations to support employment decisions.
  • Embraces and delivers diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of education, training, and experience in human resources, organizational development, or business administration, project management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional position in consulting, operations, or HR environment or a combination of experience and education providing equivalent knowledge preferred
  • High level of reliability, follow-through, discretion, and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully navigate complexity and ambiguity
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent tracking/reporting skills
  • Proven ability to identify, plan, and implement new programs and processes; strong administrative project management skills
  • Experience in providing technology-based solutions to enhance the business operations (e.g. creating dashboards, Excel data summaries, advanced tools such as Power BI)
  • Strong analytical skills; able to interpret and effectively use employee data and financial information
  • Attention and focus on managing sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience in Workday (Preferred)
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Self-directed, yet effective collaborating with a team and across functions
  • Responsive and customer-focused with a demonstrated use of professional judgment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple high-priority projects
