Job Responsibilities: Pharmacy technicians will work with pharmacists to help process prescriptions. We are seeking 3 full time individuals that would be willing to work remotely in a specific store location in the tri-valley to assist pharmacists with data entry duties (you will be trained on this function) for stores struggling to keep up their data entry of prescriptions that are dropping into their system. You would be working to remotely access store systems for stores specifically that are falling behind on workflow to help them catch up. This position is remote but must be done from a CVS Pharmacy store location where you would be working on a laptop in an office, backroom or in a pharmacy but away from customer interactions. You would not be working directly with patients. The hours would be Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays at this time. It is possible to transfer into a retail CVS store location at a later date. This pilot program is currently being funded through the end of the year. We are looking for people who can be self-starters and have the ability to work independently after being trained on our systems. You would be expected to process prescriptions and manage 3rd party insurance rejections. You do not need to be a licensed technician to apply but would be expected to apply for a license with the CA State Board of Pharmacy after meeting the requirements set forth by the licensing board.

If you were to later be transferred into one of our CVS store locations, some daily functions will include: data entry of prescriptions, processing and labeling medications, taking patient payments, answering phones and making outreach calls to patients regarding their medications, managing insurance issues, reaching out to other healthcare professionals, managing inventory, general housekeeping and other work related to helping patients manage their medications. Excellent customer service and phone skills are a must. The ability to multi-task and work independently are also a requirement. Unlicensed trainees will be provided the training needed to apply for state technician license as well as be allowed to train to give immunizations and provide support for COVID testing. Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends are a must. We are looking for someone motivated to learn and become an expert in the field. There is the possibility of advancement to lead technician at a later date. Many of these positions will require working in multiple stores in the area or will require a transfer to a another local store once training is complete. All stores are within Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Danville and Alamo.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
