Description

The Phlebotomy Specialist III functions as the department lead and subject matter expert. The duties include assisting the department manager, coordinating daily operations of assigned areas, scheduling, and workflow. The lead phlebotomist also collects and evaluates quality data, trouble shoots and provides customer support under the supervision of the Laboratory Support Services Manager. The lead phlebotomist promotes exceptional customer service, and fosters a customer centric, professional environment that contributes to a positive and productive work environment.

The position requires travel to off-site locations and the flexibility to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

Education

High School Diploma/GED Required.


Licensure/Certification

Phlebotomy certification Required.

Experience

  • Minimum five years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to collect adult and pediatric patients in hospital, outpatient, or long-term care facility
