Cator, Ruma & Associates is seeking a skilled Plumbing Engineer/Designer with a minimum of 4 years’ experience to work in-office at our Denver-metro Area HQ. This is a career opportunity for a person who has previous experience in the building consulting engineering business as a project designer, engineer, or project manager. We will also consider Senior Plumbing Engineers/Designer who have experience mentoring a plumbing team.

We need a conscientious, responsible individual who is well versed in plumbing systems design for institutional and commercial buildings. The candidate will have knowledge in operating Revit (minimum 2 years' experience) and AutoCAD to draft and design Plumbing Systems.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Performs involved and detailed design requirements.
• Knowledgeable of plumbing design elements in healthcare, institutional, and educational facilities.
• Performs 3D Revit and 2D CAD work.
• Receives project assignments from the firm’s Principals, Senior Associates/Associates or Senior Engineers/Project Managers.
• Recognizes problems quickly and seeks Principal, Senior Associate/Associate or Senior Engineer/Project Manager advice.
• Completes project designs, drawings, specifications, system studies, calculations, correspondence, survey, code studies, and construction administration as necessary.

The candidate must have:

• Working knowledge of current Building Codes.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
• Good people skills.
• Great attitude is a MUST.
