Establish yourself as a known writer with exposure to millions of readers! Right Side Broadcasting Network is seeking a part-time journalist to join our editorial team just in time for the presidential campaign season. If you are experienced in journalism and passionate about politics, then this position is for you.

This journalist will specialize in breaking news in politics. The right candidate will have professional work experience in the journalism field, a strong working knowledge of Republican politics, and a polished, professional demeanor.

MUST HAVES:

• Understanding of our company www.rsbnetwork.com
• 2+ years of experience in journalism, politics, or public relations
• Strong communication skills and willingness to reach out to public figures
• Can write on a deadline and complete breaking stories quickly
• Knowledge of news writing best practices and AP style
• Thorough understanding of today's political landscape and conservativism
• Bachelor's degree in communications, English, or journalism is preferred. Relevant work experience may substitute for education
• 2-3 news writing samples

EXPECTATIONS:

• A minimum of 3-5 stories per week that are around 300 words long
• Part-time commitment during regular business hours on Eastern time Monday-Friday
• Increased availability on rally nights

Employment terms:

• Independent contractor status
• Pay is $25.00 per article
