Position Summary:

To provide the best experience to our guests with elegant style, finesse and a charming demeanor. Must maintain advanced outlet menu, wine and spirits knowledge. Duties include food service and drink preparation for the assigned outlet which may include bar, lounge, and dining areas, while maintaining proper health standards and a safe work environment.

Essential Functions:

1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.

2. Teach their role to new team members as requested by management.

3. Perform American and Buffet style service.

4. Maintain designated area while serving beverages, serving cabanas, daybeds and/or lounge area within the designated area and all other assigned areas.

5. Maintain a clean, properly stocked and organized bar, lounge, dining area and side station including but not limited to all glassware, condiments, garnishes and dry goods.

6. Observe and anticipate guest’s needs, checking on the guest regularly. Deliver all items to the guests in a timely and accurate fashion.

7. Inform the manager on duty of any team member or guest opportunities.

8. Properly utilize cleaning supplies including stainless steel cleaner, glass cleaner, disinfectants and all-purpose cleaners.

9. Must be able to obtain a gaming license by the Graton Gaming Commission.

10. Adhere to all Company and department policies and procedures.

11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. One plus (1+) year of previous Food and Beverage experience in a fast-paced environment with cocktail serving experience.

2. Experience in large and heavy tray handling is preferred, possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor, manage multiple tasks and remain calm and produce expected results in a very high paced environment, ability to speak and to listen in a public forum, basic math skills are required, and ability to handle cash and accurately make change.

3. Must have knowledge and ability to perform proper beverage service.

4. Ability to pronounce entire wine list and menu items.

5. Must have full knowledge of the sequence of service for pool.

6. Ability to perform American and Buffet style service.

7. Must have knowledge of health code regulations and ensure that the designated work area is maintained to the proper standards.

8. Must have working knowledge of outlet food and beverage menus including glossary of terms, proper portion control, preparation and ingredients of all menu items, daily specials and pricing.

9. Must have knowledge of all safety procedures and emergency evacuation procedures for the guests and team members.

10. Must be aware of the location of the SDS booklets.

11. Must have the ability to manage time effectively with a minimum of supervision.

12. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in both written and verbal form.

13. Must have flexibility to work varying work schedules based upon business demands and scheduled events.

14. Maintain accurate and proper comp and cash handling procedures, using cash bank, cash register, cash drop, slot bank, and POS terminal functions in accordance with department policies.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.

2. Ability to climb, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit and stand for the duration of shift.

3. Require manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.

4. Normal hearing range.
