Practical Nursing
Full-time Instructor

Walker County Campus

Description: Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time PN instructor (twelve months) on the Walker County campus. In addition, the applicant will advise PN students and participate in institutional and community service projects. Teaching load is primarily day instruction but the successful applicant should have a schedule that would allow for day, evening, and on- line instruction in a multi-campus, multi-clinical environment. GNTC Faculty may be asked to teach courses on any of our campus locations and may also teach dual enrolled students.

Required Qualifications: Associate Degree Nursing. A minimum of three years of licensed nursing practice within the last seven years. Clinical experience in a primary care facility with Maternity and med/Surg Nursing. Hold both a current Georgia and Tennessee license or be eligible for licensure in
Georgia and Tennessee. Be in good standing from the initial date of employment as a registered professional nurse. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and excellent technology skills

Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN. Post-secondary teaching experience in a PN or ADRN program.
Curriculum development, and program recruitment experience in a two-year college environment. On-line teaching/learning experience using Blackboard. Excellent organizational and classroom management skills.
